The Red Menace
will destroy you. Do not fight, as it will simply delay the inevitable. The
Red Menace was born of Mafia kind, Jedi Red (AKA Chris Blisset) and branched
out to include countless Mafiosa.
On this day, the Red Menace enveloped the art space known as Galapagos, and
through the power of osmosis and rocking, converted everyone in attendance
to true believers. Band Manager Rosebud Mann McNatt warned and warmed the
crowd for what they were about to see, but few were prepared. Red, rhythm
guitarist Devin Sheasgreene, bassist Trickay, drummer Double J, MC Danger
Stranger and the lovely ladies Ruby Reddy and Diamond stormed the stage in
true Ithacan fashion, blazing a trail of mind bending theatrical rock not
seen since the days of Styx. A time warp soon occurred, rendering the passage
of minutes irrelevant as the blazing set ruptured ear drums and broke hearts.
Then, as quickly as they arrived, they were gone.
To experience the experience, go to Downtime on west 30th street on August
first. But I'm not gunna beg you. If you miss this one, you only have youself
to blame.
