It was a chilly Wednesday evening in January, and after discovering that the previous venue had "their boiler break", the scheduled Chris Blisset w/ BA and Guests show was moved up the block to the Dragonfly. Gimp, Myself, Diesel, and Duck arrived and took seats while Chris (aka the Flash) got things ready.  We met Rick, an excellent fellow who had played with Chris before. A flurry of activity followed: more people arrived, we ordered delicious drinks and foodstuffs and stared at the fish.

Somewhere in there, BA and Chris started playing, kickin' it off w/ a Joni Mitchell tune--Much to Gimp's pleasure.  After a few tracks, the Flash took a solo stint, featuring a superb version of "All along the Watchtower".  It truly ruled.  Rick (introduced previously) took the stage w/ Red, and they commenced to rock together for a track or two, with Chris wailing away on the harmonica.

Blisset took a break at that point, and Rick laid out a solo tune, which was trés good.  Gavs and Sara showed up, and Chris then took the stage w/ the "Brothers McMullen" (the names escape me, email me if you remember the correct names) to jam a while, and they played a few origionals. At this point, Diesel was getting might ornery, and trying to "Push My Buttons"...so Duck went up w/ Chris to calm him down.  "Thor, Dog of Thunder" seemed to do the trick.

A flurry of folk flew up and joined Chris at various points throughout the remainder of the eve.  My two favorites were undoubtedly Duck and Rick's duet of "Round Here", and Miss Katie's version of "Jane Says" backed up by the whole crew.

Unfortunately, a combination of factors called for our exit (work the next day, the Sesame Chicken + My digestive system, Diesel's Ornery-ness, and Duck's nausea). We said our gut-byes, and headed out into the newly crowned year of the snake as Chris & BA started another tune together.
