You Get Hoynes. (5/17/01)

Jawhol, I'm in the hizouse. Finalies Finales, tons of season finaleys (Just how the hell do you spell finale plural, anyway?). Ed is next week, and they seem to have tons of good stuff in store for us... Just saw the Friends wedding, funny ha ha--but who expected the schwerve @ the ending, eh??? But of course, the most important was West Wing, right? It just continues to live up to everyone's expectations, which I am more than happy with. And for all of you that saw it, you know how Bartlet gave a big ol' monologue to the guy upstairs--well a section of it was in Latin, so if you don't speak latin CLICK HERE and you can find out what he said. But if you still haven't seen the episode, or the one's prior...I'd wait until you catch up before reading it.

What does "Feckless" mean?

So, Big Poppa China had some time on his hands, and he claims to be working on some IthacaMafia.com promos. He sent me the first one, and it kicks mucho ass--so I'm starting a Promo wallpaper/banner section if you want to spice up your computron like the cutting edge playa I know you are... Tanks Chinadoll. Anyone care to add more? Challange the chinaman's prowess.....?

Tey Ga, Tey Ga! (5/16/01)

Guess who's back? Why, it would have to be Darth Okay Okay, that's who! He's goin' on a trip w/ his boy China to Canada, and you just absolutely MUST read what he has to say about it! Check it out. "Ngung nya, nung nah!"

I'm sure some of you have enjoyed various "random name" games found thru the net, with everything from your Wu-Tang Name (Sabre-Toothed Portillo) to your Mob Nickname (Kluv "The Rabbit")...well, here is a collection for you to try out.

Test em' out, and perhaps you'll shed the name that the White Devil has given you, and adopt your true name that the Irie mastahs dub you with. Now, I must go meditate before the Ed/WWing doublepunch.

May Heile Sellasi, the Lion of Judah, look over Jed Bartlet this evening...

Diamonds are Forever (5/15/01)

A wonderful weekend of mass consumption. On Friday, we had a splendid party thrown by BA & M.C. Chris . We enjoyed lovely Guac and Salsa, Impromptu Playin' of Muzak, and the Best Beer Selection In Queens (to be found at their neighborhood greek deli). ON Saturday, china had his housewarming party, to celebrate his new pad with Hot Chad. Check out the pictures in this fine Gallery of the night's festivities of beer & Karaoke...

On the Sunday, Ithacans and Others gathered for the first annual fundraiser for The Pineapple Project (A new Not-for-Profit production co. dedicated to both theatre and film) which was created by Patrick Bodd, Tony Mayes, Melanie McCord, & Ben-no Wilson. It was an excellent time, with food & friends @ the Sporting Club down in TriBeCa. Also, we got to enjoy two one-acts: A Play About Two Men, One of Whom Does Not Understand by our own Jedi Frants, and starring Ben-No & Tom Bartos....and In A Manner of Speaking by Robin Rothstein, and starring our own Katie & Nakia Syvonne. If you are interesting in the Pineapple Project, feel free to drop them a line at PineappleProject@hotmail.com or call 212.971.2430 (make any tax-deductable donations payable to: Faux Real Theatre Company and mail to 201 East 62nd Street, Ste. 8D, New York, NY 10021). I also took plenty of pictures at the ol' Gala, and I shall perhaps put a gallery from the eve' up later in the week.

Pollen killing any of yous out there? It finally hit me last night, and now my sinuses feel like they're going to pop out ma' face in a terrible explosion. Good explosions are happening on the Messageboard--we've gotten new users left and right, both BA and Katie are givin' shout outs (and lookin for some help regarding sublets & Ithaca memorabilia), so head on over.

Ben-No has provided me with some additional music links, and loved the Rock last week by basking in the ever-lovin' work of The Toadies. Take a fine look at his play by play review:

Bra,

Just an update for the rock. Jedi Punk Rock and I and my pal Louis (Random IC alum Philosophy grad., disciple of Big Lee Bailey) went to see the mighty Texas rock act, the Toadies on Wednesday. It was much like an old fashioned tent revival meeting for this young wayward heathen (something about all mighty Texas rock is that it seems to have a little of the revival fervor to it. Think of the good Reverend), and I danced and sweated out the demons I had hiding in my parts. I fought the kids and laid my filth and sweat atop theirs and we all got some rage on and some exorcising done. They finished ala Pixies through a participatory "Where Is My Mind?" which purged me of the last of my vocality. The opening act, Diffuser, was quite fine. But the finest testament to the whole experience is that I can't begin to explain it.

Oy kids, tis' late, and I am missing important sleeping time. Talk to you later this week. Welcome back David Cone.
