*First Time Visitors, Click HERE Quicker Picker-Upper! (4/5/01) A few things: a.) Vote for the best haiku. b.) Check out the new Mafia Events page, and let us know if you have any event's you would like listed therein. c.) Darth Okay Okay is back with a doozie. I love that man. d.) Is anyone interested in having a Mafia Jobs forum? I often recieve notices from fellow Ithacans letting me know of job openings or opportunities for folks (and I'm sure many of you get that sort of info as well). I can create another forum where everyone can post any job info that they have...sounds like a good idea, give me some feedback on it, por favor. e.) That's about it. I'll see many of you this weekend, much love, bling bling, blah dee bloo, blah dee bloo. KluvNOMO THREW A NO-NO!!! (4/4/01) Ladies and gentleman, I would like to take this moment to congratulate Hideo Nomo of the Boston Red Sox. Who, this very evening, hath pitched a No-Hitter (for those unfamiliar w/ baseball--consider it the performance of a lifetime) against the Orioles. Thank you Nomo, for giving Sox fans (i.e., O'Neill & Myself) across the nation reason to believe in our Beantown Boys once again. We Believe. As for the rest of ya', I've been getting more feedback on the site. I'd also like to thank our northern Jedi rep, Danielle, for the lovely fruitcake she gave as a housewarming gift. Very thoughtful! Also, I know some of you have tried emailing me at the kevin@ithacamafia.com address and had problems. We think they've been solved, and it was working this afternoon. If you ever do have a problem, just click on the feedback button to let us know. Enjoyed my Wednesday night TV tonight with another great ep. of ED (nice job China & Sperm. Question: who sung the song at the end of the episode??? Must know.) Of course, the Wing was clutch. Everything is coming to a head, and I don't know if I can take the pressure... I spent most of the evening updating the Jedi main page. Take a look and let me know if anything goes funky for you...this would also be a good time for anyone interested to write their bios...*nudge* *nudge* Before I go, I'll leave an interesting story I found. If you didn't know, SEGA is not making the dreamcast anymore, and is now trying to focus only on making software--which causes loads of restructuring...much to the chagrin to some enslaved employees...read about it. Message it UP, fuzzball.Mule Varylateshuns (4/3/01) Well, we didn't crash on the first day--so that's a good thing. I'm still working out some kinks with the new layout, so give me any feedback you might have. I've updated the Story to give a detailed history of us, and what we've got here. It's long, but I think it recaps what we've done. Besides, we'll need it to fill in the Trillions of visitors that we've been getting every day. I'm keeping this one short, as I've got to do important things (like pay bills) and can't afford to sit on the computer for 6 hours like last night (by the way--if any of you are ever inclined to eat a whole bag of sour cream and onion chips for dinner....don't do it.). But before I go, I wanted to pass on a quote about Tom Waits I read: "Tom's a very contradictory character in that he's potentially violent if he thinks someone is fucking with him, but he's gentle and kind too. It sounds schizophrenic, but it makes perfect sense once you know him. He's a fine actor too. I learned a lot from him, and yeah, he really likes to get dressed up, which is good, 'cos he puts on different clothes and becomes a different person." --Jim Jarmusch Sound like anyone we know? Here, let me help... "Jedi Haps is a very contradictory character in that he's potentially violent if he thinks someone is fucking with him, but he's gentle and kind too. It sounds schizophrenic, but it makes perfect sense once you know him. He's a fine actor..." Yes, I laughed out loud on the train home. It was almost scary. Enjoy the new Mystery Link supplied by Deeb (peter pan has been retired to the Links section), and go to the Messageboard and submit your Haiku--tomorrow is the last day for posting! Message it UP, fuzzball.Movin' On Up... (4/2/01) We made it. We actually made it. Welcome to Ithacamafia.com...There are still a number of things to work on, update, and make all pretty-like, but we've moved. We've got our own domain, and best of all, we're off of Geocities. Of course, none of this could have happened w/out the guidance and all out love of Master Host-with-the-Most: Jedi aDAm. He's set the whole thing up, secured everything for us, and has some great ideas for the future. So keep your eyes peeled, and hopefully we'll grow nicely over the next few months. If you have some time, take a look around the site, check out the various pages and links--and let me know of any problems that you encounter, so I can fix them. (I'm sure things may have messed a bit in the transfer). There are two easy ways to let me know of any problems: a.) Click the feedback button to the right--it will take you to the feedback forum on our messageboard--just post your problem, and I'll take a look at it (And you DON'T have to sign up to post!). or, b.) email me at kevin@ithacamafia.com . Very simple. As for the weekend update, we got to see good ol' Ben-No Wilson repeat his role from last year's "FunBOX 2000" in the current "FunBOX TIMES SQUARE". It's a really enjoyable experience--so grab some of your friends, and go out one of these weekends to see it...Was sad to discover that Kevin St.James has become a haven for guido's and meatheads, this once fine bar hath become a meat market *sigh*... ...Got my copy's of Dreamweaver and Fireworks from Pal Joey--so I am truly indebted to him for that (they rule, as does he)....Gimp, Joey, BA, and Erica all went up to participate in the White Ribbon Concert for the Jenna Foundation (a wonderful cause, check their site out, and if you're in the area--ithaca kids, i'm looking in your direction--then why not volunteer your time, eh?)...I rediscovered the Sims this weekend...Stone Cold turned his back on the fans and has aligned with Mr. McMahon...And the Sox started off the Baseball season today w/ a heartbreaking loss in the 11th inning. Lord, I hope this is not an indication of things to come... Wild times. Give me feedback, and be patient as I'm a workin' hard for ya this week (I've been working for 5 1/2 hours straight tonight, in fact), but I'm looking to clean everything up as we go along. Tankya Tankya Tankya. Jedi Kluv Big In Japan (3/29/01) Kudos, kudos, and more kudos to all of y'all who have made contributions to my participation in the upcoming Revlon Run/Walk for Women. I'm totally thankful for your help, and for those who haven't given yet...well, *cough* *cough*.....(STARE..)..*cough*.. I'm sure you will soon. I've recieved a lotta feedback about the Mystery Link for this week. You can all thank PuNK RoCk for Mr. Peter Pan. The transfer to ithacamafia.com is underway, and going smoothly. I've gotten about 10-15% of the site over, and will do more this weekend. Also got my kickass kevin@ithacamafia.com email addy. Hold onto your hats. Got DVD? Perhaps one of your disks has hidden goodies on it. Find out here. Congrats to Gimp and Diesel on their Haiku selection. As they compliment each other, I felt it was best to select them both. Give your entry to week #3 here. Alright kids. Time to Smackethdown. But before I go, congratulations to Jedi Sperm, Jedi China, and the rest of the ED team. It truly was a very special episode. Now play nice. |
