In A New York Minute (3/1/01)

Went to the Wednesday Blend's Inaugural performance last night @ the Neva lounge w/ Gimp, O'Neill, and Diesel.  Saw everyone from China to Paradise "By the Dashboard Light".  Duck played an excellent opening set--Thor, dog of thunder was a huge success.  Blisset & BA should be commended for having a funkengruven gang play some fan-tastic muzak for all to enjoy.  Check back in 2 weeks for the next installment of the Blend.  Keep an eye out for a fantabulous picture gallery (but as I have a lot of drinking on my agenda for the weekend...don't expect it before next week).

Also this evening--Caught the PREVIEW for the Harry Potter movie.  HOLY SHIT.  For anyone who has read the Potter books--it looks magnifico.  Hagrid, Snape, Dumbledore--they're all there, and they look damn good.  Now just get me some quidditch, bitch.  I be a happity man...so check the trailer out here or here (or go to the website).

Ha Ha! Got an email from Darth Rounders detailing his madness in the Midwest (he thinks he's Wesley Willis now).  He wished me some birthday smack and scoffs at our recent movie viewings.  Example:

"PS fuck this American Psycho shit, if you want to see a real film rent 

'Even Dwarfs Started Small' German, All Midget Cast, and a camel takes a dump on camera. You can't go wrong. On the DVD they have commentary by Chrispen Glover who had nothing to do with making the movie. Check it out."

I trust that everyone had a pleasant weekend. As for myself...Friday eve: Bowie, Kate, Gimp, and I drinking much beer and watching Toy Story 2. (I also got new hair).  Saturday: After a laundry marathon, watched the American Psycho DVD @ Diggity and Diesel's house.  A much better movie than I had expected. Funny as hell. "Feed Me A Stray Cat."  Later we would adjourn to "Cafe Bar" for Bass and a Milkshake.

Tragedy has struck one of our own:  This week, Jedi Deeb had his trusty automobile, The Millennium Falcon, stolen from its resting place on the street.  As to what person in their right mind would want that terrifying piece of crap--we may never know.  Crazed Queensians?  Or, the NYPD finally cashing in on the $4,000.00 in parking tickets that Mr. Deeb owed... 

Will we ever know?

The Wednesday Blend (2/28/01)

Celebrate the end of Feb. with the Wednesday Blend @ the Neva Lounge--featuring Blisset, BA, Duck, and a slew of fab musician-types.  Duckman will be opening at 9pm, followed by the Wednesday Blend mixing it up from 10pm to 1am.  Go to the Neva (47 7th Ave South.  2 1/2 blocks north of Houston--take 1,9 to Houston) and kick out the jams.

Celebrate the moments of your life, with Maxwell House Coffee.  And after you're done doing that, celebrate the moments of Jedi Kluv's life by comin' out to Ass-Toria and swingin' the night away at Gimp and Kluv's pad.  Confirmed appearances by Jedi Klove (of Penn State Fame) and Jedi 2-Shoes (of Medford, NJ Fame) ensure a lively time.  Party runs from 8-???
