I've
Got A Brand New Pair Of Roller Skates... (by Kluv, 4/Easter/03,
9:37pm)
Happy Easters,
mafioso. Thanks to the intervention of Senor Duckles speedy gonzalez
computer, everything has now been restored to it's dust-gathering
glory. Everything should be back in place, so if you notice any problems
-- just drop me a line and let me know.
A number
of us went to see Haps' show last week, Fuenteovejuna. I must
congratulate he and his Indiana-folk artists for putting together
a very very good time at the teatre. It was much fun, and a damn good
piece of art as well! So, if you haven't already, head on down to
the Duplex this Thursday and catch it -- you won't be sorry (and you'll
get to see Haps sing like Waits and tap dance).
Also, I
wanted to give a big thanks to Katie and Emily for sponsoring me in
the Revlon Run/Walk. If any of you are interested in joining me in
the walk or sponsoring my participation, just click
here. Thanks!
Lastly,
a big howdy to Deebins, who we got to see this past Friday as he passed
thru town for the first time in almost a year. It was great to see
him again (and nice to see some other faces that have been out of
my sight for far too long, as well!). Hopefully he'll return again
soon... next time, for good! Any ladies out there interested in convincing
him to move back???
Good Weather
= Volleyball! So if it keeps up, keep your eyes open, methinks it's
almost time!
Alright,
time to fix the rest of this baddaddy. Adios, amigas.

Dirty
Bomb. (by Kluv, 4/17/03, 1:14pm)
It seems
that our server has been wiped, which is why most of you haven't been
able to access the site for some time. I'm stuck on a nice 56k dial-up
at home, so I won't be able to resotre the whole site yet, just the
front page. So, until I get access to a high-speed computron, just
hold onto your tights and chill out on the board.
Sorry for
the inconvenience.

Haps
Rap. (by Kluv, 4/3/03, 8:14pm)
Stuckeyville
is winding down, so before I jet for the while, I thought I'd throw
up this little announcement I got from Senor Haps this past week.
He's acting in a show (and running from the Light-Loafer'd Banditos),
so come and pimp peep him out. Hopefully my computer at home
will actually function in the off season so I can still do something
w/ the site... But betwixt that, Unemployment, RedSox Baseball, and
the Deuce...lets not hold our breath, okay?

"Dear
Friends,
I'm in a show at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre, which I've helped in
adapting. It's Lope de Vega's Fuentovejuna adapted into a cabaret,
featuring original songs by Lauren Cregor. It's funny, smart and poignant.
It's been a labor of love because the four of us have built it from
the ground up. I'm very proud of this production. We've put all of
our heart, soul and guts into this show. I truly would love to see
all of your faces there. And you can see my fat ass tap dance. Have
I mentioned that before? Lastly, it's very important that the first
two shows sell out so we can extend the show even longer. So please
come with a gaggle of friends until we are extended. Call the reservation
line because under our contract we have nothing to do with tickets.
Here is the information.
bye
bye. Love, Haps"

MOAB:
Mother Of All Bobs. (by Kluv, 3/20/03, 11:14am)
Hot damn,
wartime in the city. It would seem that the icy grip of winter is
finally loosening it's hold on our collective windpipes, and the promise
of sweet spring air is just around the corner. And of course with
every spring, you know what comes with it, right? War! ...Oh, wait
-- no, I meant BASEBALL! That's right, america's pastime is about
to become america's presentime, and I plan on catching every second
of the Sox
meteoric rise and gradual fall through the entire season. Therefore,
I have purchsed myself the iN Demand MLB package. That's right, for
less that $1 per Sox game this year, I will actually be able to watch
games that are played against someone other than the Stankees.
Ain't life grand? So, with only 2+ weeks to go until Stuckeyvill wraps
out for the season, it seems I'll finally be able to devote some well-earned
time to my neglected PS2 & beer gut. Shibby!
I'd also
like to thank the folks who sent me some very nice birthday wishes
the other week, along with all those who came out to hoist a pint
or two in the celebration of the same event. Delicious!
And for
the rest of you who sit around all the live long day looking for more
info on operation: "Iraq Freedom" (or as we like to call
it around here -- "I Rock Freedom!" Swallow your
rage about the complete crapulance that is the American Media, and
go vent on Brantley's
soapbox. He's filled with piss, vinegar, and the voice of freedom!
And once you're done venting your venom with the Fop, head on over
to Matty's
Music and discuss you're choice for the best of war(time) songs.
Let's not
forget about WIMR, as Bobo's been spinning
some quality tunes over the last few weeks. Look for a special commemorating
this weeks Oscars. And don't forget about Brantley's annual Oscar
party where there will be screenings of Chicago AND Lord
of the Rings: The Two Towers!!!
So, go
go go speed racers. Go.
Cheers.
